Building Your Professional Identity Through Action Planning and Coaching

Professional identity is shaped continually throughout a pharmacist’s career, influenced by values, experiences, workplace culture and evolving expectations of the profession.

Wed 15th July 2026 (6:30pm - 8:00pm)

This workshop introduces a coachingbased approach to help pharmacists develop their professional identity. Through reflective practice, action planning and portfoliobuilding techniques, participants will explore how who they are as professionals informs what they do, and how they can shape their future direction with confidence and purpose.  

Learning Outcomes:

  • Explore professional identity through personal values, strengths and aspirations  
  • Introduction to practical coaching approaches to plan, review and manage career development  
  • Optimise experience through portfolio and credentialing pathways .  

Content/Topics: 

  • Understand how values guide professional identity   
  • Connecting with a professional ‘brand’   
  • Talent mapping to drive intentional career pathways .   

By attending this workshop, participants will feel equipped to shape their professional identity intentionally and translate their strengths, values and aspirations into meaningful action.  

Mapped to GPhC standards and PSNI principles for use as part of your professional development portfolio.
