IPP Week 2025: leading the way around equality, diversity, and inclusion

Inclusive Pharmacy Practice (IPP) Week, is a national initiative jointly established by NHS England and 15 pharmacy partner organisations. It aims to build a workplace culture where diversity is valued, harassment and discrimination are challenged, and leadership reflects the communities served.

PDA IN THE NEWS: PDA features in Pharmaceutical Journal podcast

PDA Director of Defence Services, Mark Pitt, was interviewed for the latest episode of ‘The PJ Pod’, a Pharmaceutical Journal podcast. The episode titled ‘Speaking up: how to raise concerns in the pharmacy workplace’ looks at the importance of speaking up whenever you have a safety or wellbeing concern, and how exactly to go about that.

“Medicines To” campaign — A FIP member-led campaign update

Insight magazine – Winter 2025/26

This month, the PDA distributed hard copies of the latest issue of Insight magazine to members and to pharmacies. The PDA has heard from members that some like to read the electronic version, and so the PDA is now sharing this with members. PDA Members are also encouraged to share this with their colleagues.

PDA becomes a supporter of Health Equals

Two diverging paths for community pharmacy: What do they mean for our practice, patients, and profession?

Two recent developments pull community pharmacy in very different directions. One proposes facilitated self-selection of P medicines; the other changes the law so ‘checked and bagged’ prescriptions may be handed out while the pharmacist is absent. Both are promoted as freeing pharmacists’ time, but do they safeguard patients, uphold professional accountability, and strengthen pharmacists’ clinical role, or do they risk retail drift?

PDA issues statement on the IP Pathfinder evaluation
