At a time when some claim there is a shortage of pharmacists and that many students are now joining pharmacy courses only through the university clearing process, a group of employers have launched a website that suggests pharmacists could earn as little as £12 an hour.

PDA welcomes a mutual membership between WEA and GFTU

On 24 September 2021, the WEA (formerly known as the Workers’ Educational Association) and the GFTU (General Federation of Trade Unions) announced a mutual membership that brings discounted WEA membership to GFTU members and GFTU affiliate members.

PDA Chairman elected as Secretary General of European pharmacists’ organisation

The 10th annual congress of the Employed Community Pharmacists of the European Union (EPhEU) has elected PDA Chairman, Mark Koziol as their Secretary General. EPhEU is the federation that unites community pharmacist trade unions across the European continent.
