“I would just like to let you know that my union representative was really instrumental in securing my redundancy from my employer. I was extremely nervous about the whole process and it was really reassuring to have her present at the meetings. My manager was noticeably affected by their presence and I think I was lucky in this respect!  She is a lovely rep and made me feel confident about approaching the subject of redundancy as I wasn’t at all sure to begin with.
