On 29 April 2020, PDA hosted their first live webinar for pre-reg members to support them as they cope with the impact that the COVID-19 crisis has had on their year. This comes after the GPhC decided to postpone the pre-registration assessment process and move to a period of provisional registration.

The National Institute of Clinical Excellence has recently been consulting on the use and application of Patient Group Directions. The responses that they have received from some organisations suggest that Pharmacy Technicians should be added to the list of healthcare professionals that should be allowed to operate PGD's.

Boots Rest Break Policy for Pharmacists (Members Only)

The PDA has been contacted by a number of members concerning a Rest Break Policy which has been recently issued by Boots in conjunction with the Boots Pharmacists Association (BPA). A senior executive of the company has agreed to share a copy of the policy with the PDA.
