These PDA surveys will allow locums to have their say and share their views confidently and anonymously. The second of these surveys launches today (Monday 29 September) and is based on locums reporting that they are facing sizable unpaid invoices from several contractors.
The PDA has been made aware of several businesses that are not paying pharmacists properly for their work. These poor behaviours and standards are impacting locums, where some are facing harm to their financial wellbeing due to unpaid invoices.
The second PDA locum survey has been designed for locums to give more information, which will help expose the situation, identify and call out poor employers, and influence stakeholders to work with the PDA to improve matters for all locum members.
PDA member and non-member locum pharmacists are encouraged to answer all questions to the best of their ability to ensure the integrity of the data. The PDA is also asking all pharmacists to share this survey widely with their fellow locum pharmacist colleagues.
The data will be invaluable in informing the PDA of how widespread the issues are, enabling them to provide support and giving context to the demands that will subsequently be made.
The survey will close on Monday 27 October 2025.
