PDA seeks locum pharmacists’ views on rates of pay

The PDA is launching a series of surveys for locum pharmacists. This will help inform its advocacy, policy positions and the direction of work to help improve conditions for locum pharmacists.

Mon 24th March 2025 The PDA

As part of these surveys, locum pharmacists will be given the opportunity to have their say and share their views confidently and anonymously. The first of these surveys launches today (24 March 2025) and is based on rates of pay and availability of work.

Many members have informed the PDA that rates of pay is a priority issue for them and that rates have dropped drastically. Some locums have even indicated that they can no longer work solely as a locum pharmacist due to a lack of work and poor rates.

The PDA is encouraging all locums to have their say and asks that they answer all questions as fully and accurately as possible. The PDA is also asking all pharmacists to share this survey widely with their fellow locum pharmacist colleagues.

This confidential survey should only take a few minutes to complete.

The survey will close on Monday 21 April 2025.
