VACCINATIONS: All vaccinations delivered by suitably trained pharmacists have always been covered by indemnity insurance as part of the standard PDA membership apart from Covid-19. For new membership renewals after January 1st, 2026, Covid-19 vaccinations are now also automatically covered.

NHS pharmacists – should talk about Flex

To help recruit and retain enough staff in the NHS, employees and potential employees are encouraged to find out more about flexible working.

The NHS unions, employers, managers and staff across the health service share the same goals – we want to make the NHS a better place to work and improve patient care. Flexible working is one of the best ways we can make positive changes that benefit everyone.

So NHS unions, including the PDA, have created the #Letstalkaboutflex campaign at talkaboutflex.org to support all NHS employees.

 

What is flexible working?

Flexible working is about you having more control over where, when and how much you work. There are lots of ways to make flex work across different roles and career stages.

It’s not just for specific groups – anyone can request flex, and there are lots of options to consider. Flex is about finding the arrangement that works for you, your team and your patients or service users.

Flexible working comes in many forms such as staggered hours, job sharing, partial retirement/retire and return, flexi-time, remote working, annualise hours, and term-time working,
