As part of the NAWP’s involvement in this year’s Wear it Pink campaign, they are inviting all pharmacists to take a selfie wearing pink and send it to [email protected] by Sunday 5 October. The images collected will be used to create a poster that will be shared on social media to raise money for Breast Cancer Now, the largest breast cancer charity.
The campaign aims to raise donations and awareness of the charity. All donations will be used to support life-changing research. Those able to do so can donate by clicking here.
NAWP has taken part in the annual charity event for the last 5 years and has raised a total of £820 so far for Breast Cancer Now. Ayah Abbass, Immediate Past President of the PDA NAWP Network, originally started NAWP’s fundraising page and this campaign has been carried on by Lourette Latif Philips, President of the PDA NAWP Network.
The PDA NAWP Network is dedicated to raising awareness of women’s health issues. Supporting this campaign ties in with this objective. The network has also previously released a FREE factsheet on breast cancer, which covers what to look out for and potential effects on working life. The factsheet can be accessed here.
