This course will give members:
- ideas of how to encourage pharmacists to join the PDA
- confidence when talking about the PDA
- an understanding of your role as a PDA Representative.
The course includes written articles, soundbites and videos to go through. Each section ends with a quiz to check your understanding. There is also a learning log document and an action plan for you to complete.
On completion of the course and action plan, you will be eligible to attend further courses in the reps training programme.

Pathway
Prior to this training, you will have a discussion with your PDA student organiser about the role you are interested in and if the role and the training is appropriate.
Following this training you will be invited to undertake a live online workshops for reps including ‘Introduction to being a PDA Rep’, ‘Confidence in meetings’ and ‘Conversations that count’.
We also offer some sector specific workshops for reps that your PDA organiser will advise you of. You will also be invited to the PDA reps 2 day face to face training in Birmingham.
