Emerging Leaders Programme

The PDA Emerging Leaders Programme is designed for pharmacy students, trainees, and early-career pharmacists who are beginning to explore their leadership potential.

Sat 1st August - Thu 31st December 2026

This structured four-month programme combines self-directed learning with live online sessions, helping you to develop your leadership style, build confidence, and gain practical skills to support your professional growth.

Programme overview

The programme brings together four online, self-directed modules with a series of live micro-teaching sessions delivered in the evenings. Alongside building core leadership knowledge, participants will develop practical tools and approaches that can be applied in their day-to-day roles, with opportunities for reflection and shared learning throughout.

Programme dates

The programme runs over four months:

  • Modules 1 and 2: 4 August – 31 August 2026
  • Module 3: 1 September – 23 October 2026
  • Module 4: 2 November – 31 December 2026

Each module requires approximately 2 – 3 hours of study.

Live online micro-teaching sessions will take place on:

  • Monday 3 August 2026, 7 pm – 8 pm
  • Thursday 17 September 2026, 7 pm – 8 pm
  • Thursday 26 November 2026, 7 pm – 8 pm

Places on the programme are limited. Applicants should ensure they can attend at least 80% of the live sessions and commit to the required study time for each module. Participation across the full duration of the programme is expected.

This programme is open to pharmacy students, trainees, and early-career pharmacists who are interested in developing their leadership skills. To be considered for a place, please complete this application form. 

Places will be offered to those who fully complete the application and meet thcriteria. If you are not offered a place you will be added to the waiting list for the next cohort. Successful applicants will be notified and invited to join the programme by 20 June 2026.

Membership is FREE to pharmacy students, trainee pharmacists and for the first three months of being newly qualified.
