The PDA are outraged at the exclusion of locum and community pharmacists from the coronavirus compensation scheme and have called on the MPs that originally called for the scheme to challenge the Health & Social Care Secretary on his decision.

Following his statement yesterday, the PDA has written direct to Health & Social Care Secretary, Matt Hancock MP, requesting that he confirm the arrangement he announced also applies to community pharmacists

“Remember the Dead” and “Fight for the Living”

At the start of a day of memorial, the PDA has laid a wreath on behalf of all our members in tribute to the pharmacists and other key workers that have been killed by the COVID virus. The whole pharmacy sector is also invited to join a one minute silence at 11:00am today.

Police and Crime Commissioners support PDA’s campaign to stop violence in pharmacies

PDA call for remembrance of health workers killed by COVID-19

The PDA is calling for a minutes silence on Tuesday 28 April to remember health workers who have been killed by COVID-19. At least two members of the pharmacy community are amongst those that have already died.
