PDA supports student members through misconduct allegations and other challenges

During the pandemic, the PDA has supported MPharm students, as record levels of enquiries from members are received including resolving issues relating to reasonable adjustments, examination processes, and an increase in misconduct allegations.

PDA calls for long Covid to be recognised as a disability

The PDA is supporting a TUC (Trade Union Congress) petition calling on the UK government to formally recognise long Covid as a disability under the Equality Act 2010.

England is only country not to issue pandemic recognition payment to NHS workers

As pharmacists and other NHS employees on Agenda for Change contracts assess the UK government’s 3% pay rate increase, the PDA is highlighting that England is the only home nation which is yet to give NHS workers a payment in respect of their contribution during the pandemic.

Self-isolation rules change for NHS and social care employees in England

Essential frontline NHS and social care staff who have been told to self-isolate because they have been in close contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19 will be allowed to return to work in exceptional circumstances.

Boots pharmacists’ pay claim 2021

Pay negotiations on behalf of members working for Boots are to take place this week. This is the first of a number of meetings to take place during the summer aimed at reaching an agreement in time for an increase to be paid from 1 November 2021.

Flu vaccination programme 2021-2022: Preliminary Information and an early alert

Employers’ representative bodies asked to work together to maintain safety standards

The PDA has written to the three main community pharmacy employer bodies: AIMp, CCA and NPA to remind them of their members' responsibilities regarding safety and invite them to work together to ensure adequate safety measures across the sector in England.
