• UK Government launch National Disability Strategy

  The UK government yesterday launched a National Disability Strategy on 28 July which may impact on the experience of pharmacists with disabilities. 

• Employers reminded that activity must include disabled people

  A judge has ruled that the UK Government broke the Equality Act by failing to provide a BSL interpreter for COVID-19 data briefings and the PDA Ability Network is reminding employers that they too must ensure that they consider the needs of disabled pharmacists in all their activity.

  To mark Global Pride Day (27 June 2021) the PDA has worked with Troglo to produce a FREE factsheet on Sexuality and Gender to raise awareness and to help others to be more understanding of those in the LGBT+ community.

  June is Pride month which aims to raise awareness on how damaging homophobia can be as well as being more understanding of those in the LGBT+ community. The PDA LGBT+ Network works to enable all pharmacists in the LGBT+ community to realise their full potential and raise their profile by being educationally, socially and politically active.
