Designed for those pharmacists working in GP practices that are not covered by a State backed indemnity scheme (CNSGP). It is also suitable for those pharmacists not wanting to rely upon CNSGP because they know that it is has a duty to refer untoward incidents to the regulator and would prefer instead to enjoy their own independent representation. Alternatively, it is for those GP practice based pharmacists who are, or who may become involved in activities that are excluded from cover by CNSGP.

Providing a choice of £5m or £10million of professional indemnity and public liability cover to settle claims for compensation for GP practice based work as well as any portfolio work undertaken in any other sectors of pharmacy. It also provides £500,000 of legal defence costs insurance to support pharmacists in any medicolegal proceedings connected with their work as a pharmacist (such support would not be provided by the CNSGP). It automatically provides cover for those GP Practice based activities which are excluded from the CNSGP.

Additionally, it provides a choice of Clinical and Senior Clinical level of cover as well as an option for with and without IP responsibilities.
